I
have been taking 2 lozenges each day (Morning/Evening) and use the liquid
to saturate a cotton ball and use as light packing if I have an active
bleed. My nose bleeds are more in the nuisance category than in the
serious hemorrhage category. Usually when I get a nose bleed I
lightly pack it with a Vaseline coated cotton ball for 5 or 10 minutes.
That usually stops it. I also use Afrin spray to stop a bad nose
bleed. Since taking the Colostrum I have not had a serious nose
bleed. Using in the liquid in the nose does have the cooling and soothing
effect with none of the after effects of Afrin. So far so good!
I will continue to use this and monitor the progress. It does
seem to stop the bleeding with out creating a large clot in the nose. --T.H.
I've been using Synertek
colostrum since last October I believe it has helped my HHT
since taking the lozenges my bleeds are less frequent and I use the liquid
when I do have a bleed which I believe helps to stop the bleeding,
although I have no real medical changes to back this up, I had my nose
lasered this week my surgeon said I bleed all the way through the
procedure, (as usual), so he hasn't noticed any great changes, although my
blood count is good at 12 I have been as low as 6, I feel I have had
a better quality of normal life since taking the lozenges, I am
convinced they are doing some good and will continue to take them. My nose
bleeds are 70% better! At present. --L.M.
The colostrum has stopped 2
nosebleeds and my nose was clear. It worked very well. I did not use the
lozenges. --E.B.
I am eternally grateful to you for introducing a
"free offer" of colostrum on the HHT site. Otherwise, I am sure
I would have never
learned about it. I just went under an HHT evaluation at the Mayo Clinic
in Rochester MN. I inquired about Synertek Colostrum liquid (I have not
taken the lozenges) to my HHT and ENT doctors. Neither had knowledge of
the benefit colostrum offers regarding nosebleeds. Both were extremely
interested and intrigued when I told them I found the liquid to be very
efficacious when applied to an active nosebleed, it stops within minutes.
They made copies of the literature included in the free offer you sent me
and it appeared further research will be done. Both encouraged continued
use understanding it's an all natural product, applies easily using cotton
swabs and stops bleeds without massive clotting in a short period of time. Who knows where this may go!!
It works and as I mentioned above, I am eternally grateful to you. --B.B.
I am delighted to say
that at present I am only having about 3 or 4 nosebleeds a month, and they
are of very short duration and stop quickly. When I think back to
last year and how bad things had become at work and at home I am so happy
to be virtually nosebleed free at the moment and believe me I am grateful
for every "bleedfree" day. I take two lozenges a day; one first thing in the morning and the other one
before dinner in the evening. I am also happy to say that I rarely
need to use the liquid colostrum any more as my nosebleeds are so
minimal these days!! I am so happy that I found your product and would definitely recommend that any
fellow sufferers give it a try. There is nothing to lose!! --E.K.
I don't know if it is
due to the lozenges, but I have noticed that my nosebleeds
haven't been as often or as severe as they were in the past. (I
try to take the tablets at least once a day, sometimes twice a day, but my
biggest problem is remembering to be consistent.) My nosebleeds seem
to go in spurts, bleeding several times a day, or several times a week,
then no nosebleeds for a week or 2, without any rhyme or reason. It has
always been that way, but now that I think of it, the nosebleeds haven't
been as often or as severe as in the past. I used the liquid a few times,
but found the liquid has only been effective for nosebleeds that are
minor - when I can pinpoint the spot it is bleeding from. Most times I get
a nose bleed it is bleeding so heavily that I can't find where it
has started and eventually it stops on it's own. I
wish I had more scientific data for you but I hope this helps. I
have no plans on stopping the colostrum because I do think it has
made a difference, especially for my allergies, and haven't had to
take allergy medicine (which always increased my nosebleeds.) That alone
is a big help. --L.B.
I have been taking the lozenges since last Thursday and I haven’t had a
runny nose bleed since. I still am getting a bleed occasionally but it
seems to be stopping immediately. It’s early days yet, but it is
promising. I will keep you updated about myself and my uncle in I
have told my cousin Anne who lives in London about BC as her 12yr old
daughter has some heavy bleeds and she too is interested. I will be in
touch. --M.F.
I
haven’t tried the liquid yet for nosebleeds. Although I do have HHT it
is not as bad as some people experience. Most of my nosebleeds
will normally last for a minute or so and be easy to control
by plugging with tissue or similar. I have had some heavy nosebleeds which
usually occur after a lot of minor bleeds when the inside of the nose
becomes sore. I have the liquid at hand for such a bleed. I was hoping
that by using the lozenges I might be able to build up some kind of
resilience to bleeds, which seems to have happened over the last week. I
had a tiny bleed yesterday for a couple of seconds from my left nostril
which is the problem side. It stopped literally by my dabbing my nose with
a tissue. It left no real scabbing which is one of the biggest problems as
if you try to clear your nose the scab usually breaks and you get another
bleed. It really is a vicious circle. At the moment my nose remains scab
free. A lot of the time I bleed whilst I am asleep and I wake up with my
nose totally blocked by blood clots. An unexpected bonus for my wife is
that I have stopped snoring, presumably because I don’t have blood clots
congesting my nose during the night. --M.F. (same person as above)
I am using the liquid during the day and it works great so far. I
don't use it at night because my sinuses bleed and it then runs down my
throat and chokes me unless I get up. I'm taking the lozenges also
and will let you know after about a month how that is going. It is
wonderful that HHT persons are beginning to have something to help! (I
have large telengectasia on my lips which bleeds profusely when it bleeds.
I have just put some of the liquid on it and it seems to be working.)
